DYK? Referees did not make all rulings in college football games until 1876.

As college football marks its 150th anniversary this season, it is only proper to recognize the contribution officials have made to the game. No one else is going to do it, so it’s up to those of us who understand and appreciate the craft to take a nostalgic trip through the history of college football officiating.
